Wedding Film Photography

So excited to report that I am now doing some film photography along with digital and am going to start offering "hybrid" weddings with a mix of film and digital.  For many, digital will be just fine, but film is coming back!  I love the look of film in the way some audiophiles love the sound of vinyl records over digital music.  Film has a certain warmth and tone quality that can be difficult or impossible to replicate with digital.  Some films also have a nostalgic look to them, which makes vintage weddings look extra special in print.  I shoot film with a Canon EOS 3 and various professional films.

I will be honest, I never thought I would get back into film because digital is just so easy and convenient (and forgiving!).  If you are interested in having a film/digital hybrid engagement or wedding session, get in touch right away!  To see a more detailed description of the comparisons between film and digital, check out the handy link below.

As always, if you are getting married anywhere around Michigan, please contact me.  I'd be happy to set up a wedding package to suit your needs.  I have second shooters who are also film/digital hybrid photographers.  If you are having a vintage, retro, or any other nontraditional wedding, you especially should consider film photography as part of your portrait package.  I cover Muskegon, Grand Haven, Holland, and Grand Rapids regularly, but love to travel!
