SECOND SHOOTER PORTFOLIO
I've been photographing weddings since 2012 as both a lead photographer and a second shooter. I enjoy second shooting, dare I say it, maybe even a bit MORE than main shooting weddings. I've worked with quite a few different photographers over the past several years and understand that everyone has their own unique shooting style and flow of the day. I'm ready to do whatever it is that you need me to take care of to make your day go a little smoother and get the type of photos that you need to fill out the set from the day.
My gear list is growing but currently includes: Canon 5Diii body, Canon 70-200mm 2.8IS L, Sigma art 35mm 1.4, Sigma 85mm 1.4, and Tamron 90mm 2.8 Macro. If you need me to use any of your lenses and have a full frame Canon system, I can do that as well. I use Canon and Yongnuo speedlights either on-camera or off, if you need me to attach them to your stands or bring my own. I also have Alien Bee B800s (with beauty dish) and an Ice Light with barn doors and tungsten filter if you need me to bring those as well. I also do have a Canon EOS3 35mm film camera that works with all of my lenses, if you are wanting film shots at all. I consider myself to be adequate when it comes to off-camera lighting, but not in systems or techniques that I'm not familiar with (basically if you're using a different system than mine, I'm not going to pretend I know how to scroll through your flash settings in the blink of an eye, because I won't). However, if I'm using my own lights, I have you covered.
I am located in Muskegon, MI. My rate depends on the length of time you need me, the time of the year that the wedding takes place (Saturdays in the summer/fall I'm a lot more in demand than in February, obviously), how much you need me to do, and how close I am to my home (Muskegon, MI). Basically tell me what you're planning on paying and I'll either accept let you know what I'd need to do it. If you've landed here because I responded to your request for a second shooter that already had a payment amount listed, that means I'll accept that payment amount. Most of the second shooting gigs I do are between $300-400 depending on the location, the length of time, the complexity of the wedding, the original booking price of the wedding, the time of year it is, and whether or not I'm allowed portfolio usage. I am happy to do weddings in Muskegon, Traverse City, Manistee, Ludington, Cadillac, Charlevoix, Grand Rapids, Lansing, Detroit, Kalamazoo, St. Joseph, South Bend, Grand Haven, Holland, and everywhere in-between. I will also consider Chicago, Mackinac Island, and other areas if additional travel fees are included.
If you think that my work is similar to your style, I'm open to doing trades as well, as my packages often include a second shooter as well.
SECOND SHOOTER PORTFOLIO
Below are just a handful of the images I have taken for other photographers as a second shooter. From zoomed in "paparazzi" type shots, to expansive views from the back, I'm ready to get you the type of images that round out the wedding day coverage and give couples the range of images that would not be possible with just one photographer.
Make sure to keep clicking on the above image, as it is a gallery! The 3 carousel galleries below are all from Notre Dame & The Brick in South Bend, IN. I second shot this wedding for Jennifer Mayo.
